Prayer Requests

Last Updated 12/14/2005

  • Please pray for my daughter, a single mom in Atlanta. She is recovering, with counseling, from a volatile relationship and is not yet on solid ground. On Sept. 16, she discovered a lump in her breast. She asks, ‘How much more does God think I can take?’
  • Please pray for Delia (pronounced De long e la)Dee la Hemingway. 70 year old mother of a coworker of mine in Blythewood, SC. Is having trouble with cancer treatment (chemo), lungs are filling up with fluid. Her son’s name is Tony Goad, please pray for him as well, as he has to take time off or work to shuttle his mother around and is very discouraged himself. I told him of my current mountain top experience (Walk #13, table of David) just this past weekend (just enough for him to know that I had been to the mountain top and wasn’t plannig on living in the Piedmont any longer, the moutains are for me. At any rate, pray for a miracle in Delia’s life, pray for healing and believe that the healing will take place, you know like pray for rain and go get your umbrella, if we believe that strongly in what we pray for, it will happen.
  • Please pray for Sharon Mann, coworker undergoing Chemo treaments currenly for breast cancer, also a spot was found on her left lung (very small spot). Sharon just talked with me and I told her that I would put her on our prayer list. Sharon has a wonderful outlook on life and her treatment. She had another type of breast cancer 21 years ago. Sharon has a blog set up for those of you that are familar with what a blog is (like a personal website if you will), it is http://howissharon.blogspot.com, you can leave a comment of encouragement, if you want.
  • Please pray for Kris Stevenson’s mother, Nikki Williamson, who will be undergoing out patient surgery the day after Thansgiving, Fri. the 25th
  • Please pray for Kris Stevenson as she is going through some difficult and stressful times.
  • Prayer of praise and thanksgiving. Please read following e-mail I just received from Tony Goad, who’s mother is Delia Hemmingway, you all remember the lady that has been on our prayer list for over 2 months, that had no hopes of being cured from lung cancer, well her doctors didn’t know how our prayers and our master physician worked, now did they.. Just read and be blown away…you know I am really starting to believe that there is not anything we can’t pray for, expecting a miracle, believing for a miracle..what power there is in the name of God… Ron,

I have been off the last three days and this is my first day back but thought that you would like to know that on Monday I took my Mom to her doctor appointment after the doctors had stopped the radiation treatments 4 days early. After x-rays, blood work and a cat scan the doctor told her that there is no sign of cancer. Total relief and thanks so much for you encouragement and faith! What better gift could our family get, huh?

  • Kathy Addington’s daughter, Erin Cothran, who is a missionary was in a van accident in Nigeria.  Two of her team members were killed, one critically injured.  Erin is stable at this time, but has a possible broken hip, some bruises and stitches.  The team leader, Ari,  is working to get the team members transported back to the main hospital in Port Harcourt, Nigeria which is two hours away from where Erin is.  Kathy will be flying to see Erin as soon as she know where they are taking her.  Keep alll the members and their families in your prayer.
